We went to the nearby Lednice Lake for the weekend, full of optimism and ready to catch some nice fish. On the first day we were a bit unlucky, as the fish somehow didn’t want to bite, but on the second day it was better. Me and Tadzik decided to try fly fishing, and Janusz continued the traditional bait fishing.
After a few hours we finally managed to catch something – first Tadzik caught a nice perch, and a moment later I caught a beautiful bream. We were excited and in good spirits, but then came the real surprise. Janusz, who had not caught anything so far, suddenly started spinning the reel like crazy.
It turned out that he had caught a huge catfish! We all helped him pull it out of the water, and when we finally managed to do it, we saw that the catfish was really impressive – it was more than a meter long and weighed almost 30 kg!
We were entranced, and Janusz was like a child in a toy store. We couldn’t stop looking at the huge fish he managed to catch. It was an amazing moment and it will surely be remembered by all of us for a long time.
It’s moments like this that make it worth going fishing with friends. After all, as the old saying goes: “fishing is not only about catching fish, but also about spending time with friends.”
